Driving back to Dallas from Colorado, I wanted to stop before it got dark. I had read some great reviews about the Back Forty RV Park, so I called ahead from the road to see if an overnight space was available.

Upon arrival we greeted at the gate and given our choice of a site either near the bathhouse or the dog park since we were traveling with our small dogs.

The sites are spaced apart nicely and the grass at each site is great as it does not contain any sticker burrs which made my dogs happy.
The site had full hookups and it was very quiet considering the railroad track is a little ways North of the Park.

The bathhouse has got to be one of the nicest I have ever seen anywhere that we stayed. It is gorgeous and well thought out. The washer and dryer are also contained in the same building.

They also have an awesome fenced dog park.

The next morning the owner again greeted us and asked if everything was okay with our site. He chatted with us for a while and was so friendly. That in itself made us feel very welcome.

I just wish we could have stayed longer to explore the local area. We will definitely return. This place was so peaceful that I hated to leave after just the one night.

Great little RV park right off of 287. The owners were super friendly, and the Internet was fast. The sunset here was unbelievably beautiful. Would recommend to anybody looking for a nice place to rest for a night.

Stayed here one night passing through on our way home. Very nice and clean. We checked in after hours and our envelope was there and waiting with all the info we needed and more. The bathroom is gorgeous! I’ve never seen one like it at an RV park. Sat out under the gazebo and looked at the beautiful night sky. Also the story about their dad and this land was the sweetest. That was the reason I picked this park. I highly recommend this RV park!

We just stayed over night at the RV park, but we loved it. The owners were super friendly and came to great us as we got in our spot. They even moved us to a closer spot to the dog park since we had a dog. The dog park was one of the best I have seen yet going to RV parks. They had green grass. It was so nice. Very quit and easy to get in and out of the park. I would recommend and stay here again.

Absolutely a great RV park, very well maintained with friendly staff. Just far enough off the highway to guarantee a good nites sleep. Cutest pet area we’ve seen-loved the fire hydrant for dogs use.

My husband travels for work, so we are moving constantly to new areas often. Ive seen my fair share of RV parks over the years. Back Forty RV park is absolutely on my top 5 list of the greatest parks we have been to. The owners are amazing! Very friendly and very appreciative. The bathhouse was extremely clean and well taken care of. Back Forty offers free washers and dryers, which is a huge help. The owners were putting in work everyday to keep building the park up and making the park better with more amenities. Highly recommend staying here!! If we are ever back in this area, this will definitely be my go to spot.

EXCELLENT stop near highway that is perfect for pulling in for the night. It is very level and the dog park is great. We didn't bring our dog this time, but it is very nicely fenced and a large area dedicated for them. The wifi was really strong and the staff was very friendly. We came in mid-evening, and they left us a great info packet and even gave us a refrig magnet to remember them next time around. Top Notch Service!

This park is no frills and Quanah, TX is not a "destination ", however it is a mid point (or close enough) on our travels to New Mexico and Colorado. We found the Back Forty on Campendium. Our over night site, both going and coming was level, and had reliable electricity, easy water hookup, and flat access sewer. The park is pet friendly, has a nice laundry room, and beautiful shower (like in a house not a camp ground). The owners are extremely nice and the online registration simplified checking. If your travels take you up or down Highway 287 through Quanah, give them a try. Thanks again
